Plans and payment
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, anytime, from /account. Each plan includes everything the one before it does, so nothing you turned on is lost when you upgrade.
What if I go over the account or project limit?
Whatever goes over the limit enters shadow mode: the tool measures, doesn't act, and doesn't delete anything. Upgrade and it starts acting right away.
Do I need a card for Basic FREE?
No. No card, no login, no email. Install with one line or with the executable and measuring starts right away, 100% on your machine.
Who handles billing?
Creem, as merchant of record. The subscription is recurring in US dollars and the receipt comes from Creem itself.
How many machines is a license good for?
One activation per key, at a time. It's floating: unplug it in the dashboard, the CLI, or /account and plug it into another machine.
Does HarnessUp read my token or my key?
Never. HarnessUp runs the official claude and codex with your account and never reads, stores, or passes on your token or your key.
How do I cancel?
In /account, open manage subscription. No form and no hard questions. Stuck on something? help@harnessup.dev.
Download and install
Do I need an account to install?
No. No login, no email, no password. Measuring works right after install, and a license only comes in when you want the paid modules.
Which install method should I pick?
If you already have Node.js, go with npm: it's the main channel and doesn't show a Windows warning. Without Node, use the PowerShell line. If the terminal isn't your thing, download the .exe.
Why does Windows show a warning on the .exe?
SmartScreen warns about every file that hasn't built up reputation yet. The SHA-256 of each artifact is at /windows-warning so you can check it before opening.
Does it work on Mac and Linux?
Yes, on both. On macOS: the curl line in Terminal, brew or npm. On Linux: the curl line, snap or npm. The curl install updates itself; with package managers, the panel shows the update command.
Does it work for API users?
Yes, it works with a Claude Code or Codex account and also with API usage, in the CLI, the desktop app and the IDE extensions. With the API, the savings show up faster: the avoided spend comes straight off your monthly bill.
How do I activate the license later?
Click the link in the purchase email and the app activates on its own. You can also plug it in from the dashboard, the CLI, or /account.
Affiliates
Do I have to be a customer to refer people?
No. Knowing the product helps, and for that Basic FREE is enough: measuring runs without a login and you already have your own numbers to show.
How much do I earn per sale?
Your rate comes in the invite and is recorded in Creem's affiliate dashboard. The earnings simulator uses 30% only as an example rate.
How and when do I get paid?
Through Creem, which is HarnessUp's merchant of record. Deadlines, minimum amount and withdrawal method are the ones in Creem's affiliate dashboard.
Does the person I refer need to create an account?
No. They install with one line or with the Windows executable and measuring starts. Plan purchases are made at /plans, through Creem.
Can I promote worldwide?
Yes. Billing is in US dollars and the product interface has 12 languages. The affiliate program rules apply in any language.
How do I sell Team and Enterprise?
Team is sold at /plans like any subscription. Enterprise is negotiated directly at corporate@harnessup.dev: talk to us before you pitch a company.
